Sadly, you can do no such thing, as you are not the esteemed Mr. Nivali. In fact, you currently have no idea at all that time-travel is even a thing that happens, even though it's a thing that always keeps happening always on Alternia, courtesy of another Mr. Nivali entirely.

Naturally, you haven't the slightest inkling of that either.

However, the matter of time-travel is moot, as you are currently Past Kanabo, about to undergo a revelation that will become very relevant to Current Kanabo in a few weeks, once you and your compatriots get entangled with the game that shall spell out the doom of your race and home world.

As is the pattern, you are wholly ignorant of this particular factoid. Happily so, actually, and riding high off of yet another resoundingly successful FLARP campaign with your normal party. You hum lightly as you step through the normal post-battle detritus, smoothly reapplying your faded lipstick and then re-captchaloguing it with a gentle tap from your club.

You have Cero accounted for, and left him to pack up his things in peace while you seek out a certain Ms. Argent. You are sure that she is entirely fine, free of even the smallest of scrapes as is her record. But still...

You will feel better once you have ascertained her condition with your own two eyes.

You will be un-Done with everything in a few more hours, but for now you don't actually feel like dealing with...anything. Your reserves of FUCKS TO GIVE have run dry after having to mercykill your lusus, and you know no one else should have to deal with that with how everything is right now. So you decided to just go to sleep and recover those reserves for tomorrow.

(You hope there will be no nightmares, except you're not sure that you'll get that respite.)

Of course, in most of your dreams you are not a lucid dreamer, nor do you usually dream with this much clarity. But not tonight.

Your name is LYNDIS NIVALI, and you are decidedly ON EDGE.

Waiting so long for your fellow players to get into the GAME WORLD (whatever it is) before you has played hell on your nerves. You are THIRD TO LAST, and the meteors have been FUCKING SHIT UP more and more as you wait. There's so much DUST and SMOKE in the air that you can barely see the stars anymore, even with as far away from the NEAREST CITY as you are.

The horizon in the direction of said city is GLOWING RED. You're pretty sure what parts of the city haven't been COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED are currently ON FIRE.

You occasionally feel EARTHQUAKES, which you are aware are actually METEOR STRIKES. There have been a number of ROCKSLIDES on nearby cliffs, and even one some distance away on your own. So that's yet another thing to worry about, as if YOU DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH.

At least you got IOCIDE into the game. If you do die, at least you will have accomplished ONE USEFUL THING in your entire meaningless life. That the accomplishment in question is SAVING THE LIFE OF A HIGHLY UNSTABLE AND VIOLENT HIGHBLOOD is so fucking ironic you would almost laugh if your throat weren't so dry.

Still, you've managed to SURVIVE for this long, and finally it seems to be your turn in the ENTRY ORDER. A certain seadweller is setting up his SERVER PROGRAM even now; your CLIENT PROGRAM is already running on your husktop. All that remains is for him to CONNECT.

And for you to ENTER THE GAME without dying horribly.

Since you're waiting around with nothing to do anyway, you decide to MAKE A MEMO.
